Google has n’t publically announced any tablets since the Slate , but according toComputerworldit had at least two devices in development . That alter when , sooner this hebdomad , Google wiped tablets off its roadmap and conclude to focus on laptops for all next Chrome OS devices .

In a statement to Gizmodo , a Google rep also affirm it say , “ Chrome OS has grown in popularity across a broad range of build factors and we ’ll proceed to run with our ecosystem of partners on laptop computer and tablets . For Google ’s first - party hardware drive , we ’ll be focusing on Chrome oculus sinister laptops and will continue to support Pixel Slate . ”
