What hap when you get Cirque du Soleil to create a performance by robotic quadcopters ? You get this incredibly wizardly video about an electricians whose workshop is suddenly filled with dancing lamp shade .
Cirque du Soleil teamed up with ETH Zurich and Verity Studios to treat the quadcopters as flying creature for SPARKED , turn ordinary lampshade into something witching . The producers talk a bit more about the project below and show off some of the experiments they do with their robotic dancer :
