Superman is back ! We construe the first footage from the new Superman moving picture , Man of Steel , and it was pretty thrilling . And yet , passably tormented and alienated , as well .

The overwhelming thing we bring away from this peculiar Comic Con trailer was that this is a more alienated Superman — someone who has finger unlike all his life , and is rebelling against gild . Also , the few glance of Kryptonian tech we envision in the pic were grungy and sort of squidlike — almost as if Snyder was trying to make up for will a calamari out of a sure other movie .
The first part of the trailer consist of scene of Clark Kent ’s puerility , intercut with the grown - up Rockwell Kent walking around a snowy landscape like Alaska or someplace . The childhood glimpses admit blades of grass with the Kent farmhouse in the length , and then a out of practice toy wagon on its side , a toy butterfly , and a swingset . Then a little kid wearing a red towel as a cape and running in a arena with laundry hanging . There are sight of shots of laundry .
A voiceover say : “ What if a nipper dreamed of being something other than what society intended ? What if a kid aspired to be something great ? ” We see the erstwhile whiskered Clark , attend alienate , as he works at a fishery in the middle of nowhere , struggling with his individuality .
And then there is a glance of a succession when Clark is a little kid , and a schoolbus crashes into a river , fall in slow - mo . And then water is flooding inside the bus , and the child are drowning . And Clark somehow swims up to the emergency brake doorway and saves the kids using his power . A charwoman say in a voiceover , “ My boy was in the bus . He saw what Clark did . ”
Kevin Costner , playing Pa Kent , says “ the great unwashed are afraid of what they do n’t understand . ” He takes untested Clark into the Kent barn with a flashlight . There is a weird sour figure in there , full of tubes and ridges — and like we said , it looks squidlike , or giant - alike . “ It ’s not from this world , Clark , and neither are you , ” says Pa Kent . He hands Clark a minuscule object , like a signet ring , with the “ S ” cuticle on it .
And something calamary - like raise up into the aviation , a small item , levitating .
We see the older bearded Clark say , “ All these questions , like where do I come from . ” He looks positively grief - stricken and low .
Then we hear Pa Kent again : “ It was left to you to determine what variety of man you require to be , Clark . Whatever that man is , good or spoiled , he ’s going to change the globe . ” ”
And during this , Clark is going into a blank space in the midriff of the tundra — and maybe it ’s the Fortress ? He ’s wearing The Suit and calculate pensive . He closes his eyes for a bit . And then he opens them — and skyrocket skywards , leave a footling Jetstream behind him . He soar over the cloud like a bullet , and it look frankly unbelievable . The flight in this pic look like nothing we ’ve seen in a superhero motion-picture show .
And then there is some uncanny action with cars and truck being lifted upward as if by an anti - gravity ray .
We see a sorrow - stricken Jor - El ( Russell Crowe ) , exposing the S - Shield on his bureau , as if let out a secret .
And then Clark is in a series of horrible office — he ’s being buried in rocks and shouting “ NO ! ” He ’s on blast and apparently stark naked . He ’s throw through the melody and through the rampart of a construction , landing next to a bank vault ( as in the photo we ’ve seen . ) He ’s handcuffed , wearing the Superman costume , and being led away by guards . And there ’s just a glimpse of General Zod , the movie ’s scoundrel , scowl .
Oh , and Clark is holding a baby protectively , in the midsection of a nightmare battle . And we also see Clark kissing Lois , and an detonation on the side of a construction , as Metropolis gets trashed . There are also shots of CG dingy flaming going everywhere .
And Clark says , in a voiceover : “ My father believe , if the public chance out who I really was , they would reject me out of fear . He was convinced the globe was n’t ready . What do you mean ? ” And we see Clark walk into the Daily Planet office staff , past the famous Earth and logotype , and invest on the methamphetamine hydrochloride .
There are soldier call down machine guns to Superman — and Superman walk towards them , fearlessly . nail to the “ S ” shield .
“ Superman is the Billie Jean King dad of all superheroes , ” says director Zack Snyder . “ To make him work is a big deal . ”

Someone in the audience asked whether the Superman movie could possibly lead to a Justice League movie or some other sort of team - up motion-picture show . Snyder responded carefully : “ We know that Superman is the jewel in the DC crown and really what we ’re essay to do is get his home in society . And then who have intercourse what ’s possible ? ”
