Goldie Hawn Says Daughter Kate Hudsons New Song About Motherhood Makes Me Weep.

“This song makes me weep for the bittersweet truth about motherhood and growing up together. A must listen ❤️,” continued Hawn.

The song, along with its music video, is adedication to Hudson’s 20-year-old son Ryder.

“I was so young whenRyderwas born,” Hudson, 44, recalled in a statement. “I look back and marvel; I was almost a kid, too, so we were able to fall in love with growing up at the same time. And when you listen to the song and watch, it sweeps you up like someone’s arms around you.”

Hudson shares Ryder with exChris Robinson. She is also a mom to sonBingham, 12 with ex Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani,5, with fiancéDanny Fujikawa.

Last month, Hudson shared with PEOPLE that watching Ryder and her children grow uphas been an eye-opening experience.

“I guess while raising him, [I was] just in it and present, and then they fly the nest, and they’re sort of cooked — and they’re adults! You look back going, ‘Wow, I can’t believe [it],'” said Hudson.

Hudson told PEOPLE that reflecting on her life while writing music for her upcoming album, which is slated for release later this year,was a “cathartic” process.
