Hugh Jackman reveals how he prepared for jump rope routine

Hugh Jackmanis working up a sweat!

On Sunday, Jan. 26, the actor, 56, posted avideo on Instagramof his impressive skipping skills, having revealed a full routine two days earlier during his concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

“So here’s the thing … my trainer Beth Lewis and I worked for months and months to get me remotely close to being ready to do this jump rope choreo on stage,” Jackman explained in the caption.

“She has the patience of a saint!!! And while I still messed up, I had a blast. And get to do it again 21 more times! Thank you @bethlewisfit #fromnewyorkwithlove @radiocitymusichall,” he added.

Jackman sported a sweat-drenched tank top and shorts in the clip, smiling as he jumped rope with ease in the middle of a gym. He then switched the rope from either side of him and crossed his arms as he continued to skip.

The skipping routine came as a surprise during the opening night of his concert seriesFrom New York, with Loveat the Radio City Music Hall in N.Y.C. on Friday, Jan. 24.

He shared his excited reaction to the successful first performance onInstagramon Saturday, Jan. 25.

“What an incredible night it was. We opened our show at the @radiocitymusichall,” Jackman wrote in the caption. “It had all the feels. The love, the glitches, the sweat, the tears, the laughter and, and, and the love emanating from the audience was enormous. We all felt it.”
