Josh Hutchersonmissed out on being leftHome Alone.
During an edition of BuzzFeed’sPuppy Interview videoseries, the actor, now 31, revealed that he auditioned for the lead in aHome Alonemovie.
When asked if there’s a role fans would be surprised he auditioned for, Hutcherson said, “Yeah, actually. When I was pretty young there was one of theHome Alones. I was probably, like, 11, I think maybe, when I auditioned for it.”
“It got down between me and the other guy. That was, like, the first time that I tasted rejection. So that was really hard,“The Beekeeperactor added, though he didn’t mention which installment of the franchise he tried out for.
Macaulay Culkinfamously starred as Kevin McCallisterin the first twoHome Alonemovies, which were released in 1990 and 1992, when Hutcherson was born. Then, Alex D. Linz starred in 1997’sHome Alone 3(opposite Scarlett Johansson).

During the BuzzFeed video, Hutcherson was asked if there’s a character he would want to revisit.
The film he’s surprised to be recognized for often? “I thinkZathura. I guess timing-wise, too, a lot of people that when they watched it they’re like my age now, so in their 30s and stuff. It’s really funny, they’re like, ‘Yo,Zathurawas my movie, man! I loved you in that. I watched it like a hundred times!’ "
