Cold Kansas City nightsare made warmer in the Mahomes household with this turkey chili.

It’s a hearty soup with ground dark meat turkey, sweet potatoes, and more. Poblano peppers get charred before being added to a blender with cilantro, enchilada sauce, green chilis, chicken stock, corn and cannellini beans.

Once that’s pureed, creating the soup’s liquid, the turkey is sautéed separately from onions, garlic and the potatoes, which also cook down in a stock pot. Then everything gets combined with sazon and meat church seasoning, more corn and beans.
Suggested toppings include cheese, sour cream avocado and more cilantro.
Patrick and Brittany are parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 2, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 13 months.
