The royal father and sons stepped out together on Thursday evening for the global premiere of Netflix’sOur Planetat the Natural History Museum in London. They event highlights the multi-generational aspects of the fight to tackle climate change.
It also marks a rare occasion to seePrince Charles, who turned 70 in November, and his two sons on an official outing. Aside from larger family gatherings such as Trooping the Colour, the trio of princes last teamed up for the Battle of Vimy Ridge anniversary in 2017. Before that, they attended the conference on the campaign against the Illegal Wildlife Trade in 2014.

Charles, William and Harry weren’t the only ones to make it a father-son night out – David Beckham brought along his 20-year-old son Brooklyn as well, twinning in black suits and bow ties.
Singer Ellie Goulding, who performed at close palPrincess Eugenie‘s wedding on October, was also in attendance.

All three princes have highlighted the effects of climate change in their public work.Prince Charlesmade his first speech on the environment in December 1968 and continued to work with organizations to promote sustainable ways of living while warning of climate change’s irreversible effect. The Queen’s son has launched numerous realted initiatives over the years, including the International Sustainability Unit (now part of the World Resources Institute) and The Prince’s Rainforest Project.

Prince William, 36, launched a collaboration between seven of the world’s most influential conservation organizations called “United for Wildlife” and has worked to combat the illegal wildlife trade.
“This crime continues to hamper sustainable development, undermine the rule of law and deprive local communities of some of their most valuable natural resources. And of course it threatens some of the world’s most iconic species with the very real prospect of extinction from the wild,” the royal father of threesaid at the 2018 Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference.
Harry, 34, is also passionate about the issue, supporting the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy initiative through the years as well as focusing on work in Africa, where he is the president of African Parks and patron of the Rhino Conservation Botswana.

In a speech ahead of the screening, Charles spoke about how proud he was that both his sons have made conservation efforts part of their missions.
“It has given me great pride to see how both my sons in different ways, have taken up the cause of restoring the balance of nature,” he said. “When they were much younger, I never thought they were paying attention to anything I said or did.”
