On Monday, the tennis ace, 42, posted an adorable photo onInstagramof daughter Adira, 5 months, sleeping on her chest in a sweet bonding moment between the duo.

Earlier in the day, Williams opened up aboutembracing her postpartum bodyin a post.

“Loving yourself is essential. I find that I have to remind myself of that self-love through all different stages in my life," she began in the caption.

Alongside her honest message, Williams shared a photo of herself in a bikini holding Adira on a boat on Instagram.

“Right now I love that my body is not picture perfect. I love that I smell like milk — that milk sustains @adiraohanian I love getting to know a new version of my body,” she continued. “It is a change, but it’s a change that has been well worth it."

“So start this week, knowing that you are loved, and that starts with you,” Williams concluded, adding, “Ok, now I’m about to go to the gym 🤪.”

Williams welcomed the new bundle of joy with her husbandAlexis Ohanianin August 2023. The pair are also parents to daughterOlympia, 6.

Last month, Williams documented herself easing back into the gym on social media.

In anInstagram Reelposted on Jan. 26, the 23-time Grand Slam champion carried out barbell squats at a lighter weight. “I’m getting back into the swing of things,” Williams said in the clip. “This is not my usual weight, but it’ll do until I get back to where I need to be,” she explained.

On Jan. 12, Williams posted a video of her inner thigh workout toInstagram, and on Dec. 30 she shared photos from anoutdoor hike.

Williamsstepped away from tennisin September 2022. During an episode of the PEOPLE Every Day Podcast a few months later, the tennis icon shared that daughter Olympia was happy she hadmore free timenow with her.

“She wants to make sure thatI’maware that I should have time on my hands and I need to spend more time with her,” Williams said at the time. “It’s funny … but it’s good because little kids really want to be with their parents. And I just feel fortunate that she wants to be with me.”
