Sagrada Familia, Spain

design by one of the most celebrated architects in the universe , Antoni Gaudí , Sagrada Familia is one of the most arresting churches in the world . Construction begin in 1882 and has still yet to be complete . Gaudí ’s original visual modality called for 18 spire on the exterior , 12 of which were to represent the Apostles , the four Evangelists , the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ . presently , only eight have been build up , carved with sculpture symbolizing each apostle that it represents ( i.e. a bull for Saint Luke , a lion for Saint Mark , etc ) . The interior was signify to look like a woodland with prepared column to resemble Tree . Construction is expect to complete in 2026 , with three new facades and the culmination of the new towers .
