Craig Robinsonhas been forced to cancel a set at a comedy club in North Carolina after a gunman opened fire at the venue.
On Saturday, around 9 p.m. local time, the male suspect showed off a firearm while inside the establishment, before it was “quickly evacuated,” according to theCharlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The alleged gunman — whose identity has not been released — then opened fire insideThe Comedy Zone, authorities said.
The suspect was subsequently taken into custody, and no one was injured, according to police.
In a statement to PEOPLE, a rep for The Comedy Zone said, “In lieu of the events last night we would like to thank all the amazing people that work day in and day out to make the Comedy Zone what it is. They immediately jumped into action and got everyone safely out of the building.”
“We would also like to thank the CMPD for their swift response and peaceful resolution to the situation,” the rep continued, before noting that shows for Friday and Saturday would be fully refunded.

Robinson, 50, later detailed the “active shooter” situation in avideo posted on his Instagrampage Saturday night.
“I’m safe. I’m cool. It was wild,“The Officestar said. “I was in the green room and they’re like, ‘Everybody get out.’ It was a moment for sure.”
The theater that he was sent to was the Metro Credit Union Amphitheater, where Big Time Rush — composed of members Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega — was performing a concert.
“Again, there’s an active shooter at the club I was at,” he said in the clip, before jokingly adding, “Big Time Rush to the rescue.”

Robinson also reacted in asocial media poston Sunday as well. “Thank you to the Comedy Zone security and staff for getting us to safety quickly,” he wrote. “Thank you everyone for your outpouring of support and well wishes.”
He added: “Thank you CMPD for swift action in apprehending the shooter. Hopefully he gets the help he needs. Thanks be to God no one was hurt. Please stay safe everyone.”
