At first consideration,Kim Kardashian West‘s children and those of theBritish royal familymay not seem to have much in common, but they’re more similar than one might think.
For starters, her three kids are all the same age asPrince WilliamandKate Middleton‘s. Kim and husbandKanye West‘s youngest child, daughterChicago, is 14 months old — only a few months ahead of William and Kate’s youngest,Prince Louis, who turns 1 next week. Kim’s sonSaint, 3, is the same age asPrincess Charlotte(though the latter turns 4 early next month) while her daughterNorthandPrince Georgeare both 5½.
One model that fans of the royals might recognize? TheBalmoral Pram($2,700), which Kate was photographed pushing Charlotte in during her daughter’s July 2015 christening.

And like Kate, Kim, 38, also faced health issues in her pregnancies. The formerbattled hyperemesis gravidarum(acute morning sickness) while expecting all three of her children, while Kim dealt with preeclampsiaand placenta accreta, and worried she’ddevelop gestational diabetes duringboth her pregnancies, with Saint and North.
The serious nature of Kim’s health problems were the reason she and West, 41,chose to use a surrogatefor their third child, and fourth on the way.

“Mama, they’re prince and princess now,” she said, appearing to talk to mom Jenner in the background.
